What tool are we talking about....? We need more info to help you

 If you have one working key, just insert old key, turn ignition on(do not turn engine on, just accessories), then take it out and insert new cut key. Open ignition switch and wait for theft light to go off. After that, closed ignition switch and try to start with both keys. Should work. :) This ONLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE A KEY THAT STARTS THE CAR. If you replaced the PCM, Body or lost all keys, this will not work. You will need to do the 30 minute dance. Good Luck!
